What time do you start work each day?

I’m contracted to start at 9.30am but I am in most days from just before 8am. It’s the best time of day – nice and quiet to be able to focus your mind and prepare for the day ahead.

What’s the most boring thing you’ve been asked to do in your job?

Filing, without a doubt.

How much time do you spend on Facebook each week?

A couple of hours each week to keep in touch with friends and to make plans for the weekend.

What is the most unusual Christmas present that you have received from a colleague?

Not a Christmas present, but a close friend who I work with treated us both to a treatment where we immersed our feet in a tank of water and had our feet nibbled by tiny little fish.

If you could introduce one law, what would it be and why?

That everyone would treat each other with respect.

How did you spend your last bonus? (If you have never received a bonus, how would you hope to spend it in the future)?

A Mulberry handbag – handbags are my weakness, you can never have too many.

What are the best perks of your role?

I get to work with some really great, interesting people and my day is varied and never dull.

What do you wear on dress-down Fridays?

What I wear on Friday doesn’t vary much from what I wear the rest of the week.

Have you ever been asked to do anything at work that you suspect might have been illegal?

No – I work for a law firm.

What is the most irritating habit of any partner you’ve worked for?

Eating while dictating – none of my current bosses I hasten to add.

How do you unwind after the end of a hard week?

Catch up with friends and then eat my way through a family sized bag of M&Ms.

Do you see your colleagues on weekends?

Yes, some of my colleagues are among my closest friends.

Have you ever fallen in love at work? (If so, please provide details).

No.

If you were a lawyer what would your practice area be and why?

Corporate – it’s the department I currently work in. We work with some fabulous clients on a wide variety of different matters

What do you eat for lunch?

I am a creature of habit and have the same thing every day – natural yoghurt and a mountain of pineapple.

A true lady never reveals either her age or her salary

What items do you always carry around with you at work?

Notepad, pen, BlackBerry, smile and security pass.
