High street franchise QualitySolicitors (QS) has brought in a new CEO so to allow founder Craig Holt to focus on developing the brand.
New CEO Ian Wheeler has had his Linkedin profile set as chief executive at “to be announced” since January this year. Before that, he was an executive director at SR Consulting having previously held managerial roles at Amadeus IT group, Reed Elsevier, Hertz and Thomas Cook.
QS is the brainchild of barrister Craig Holt, whose official title has now changed from chief executive to president.
When asked about the management shake-up a spokesperson said that Holt will now be looking at potential partnerships for the brand as well as developing the group’s latest partnership with LegalZoom, an online legal services site based in California (20 September 2012).
QS was launched as an online legal alliance in 2008, but has since evolved into a high street legal alliance. For an annual fee firms sit on a panel that allows them to pool resources to market services.
Holt launched the service in 2008 with the support of Michael Gradon, a former Slaughter and May solicitor and one-time head of legal and commercial at P&O Group.
Claiming to be the most recognised legal brand in the US, LegalZoom was co-founded in 2001 by Robert Shapiro, the former Glaser Weil Fink Jacobs Howard Avchen & Shapiro lawyer who defended American football star OJ Simpson during his murder trial in 1995.
