HowardKennedyFsi (HKFsi) has bolted on boutique firm CKFT, in a move that will boost its revenues from £40m to £45m.
It emerged that the two firms were in talks in February at which point HKFsi had been in discussions with the North London firm for a number of weeks (25 February 2014).
The completion of the deal today will see 28 employees and seven partners transfer to HKFsi. A further four partners have left the firm as part of the move, they include two corporate partners and two litigation partners.
The deal went ahead as HKFsi pulled out of merger talks with Davenport Lyons, making it the second firm to turn its back on the media boutique in under than a month (27 February 2014).
Davenport Lyons went into administration last Friday with the bulk of the business being acquired in a reverse takeover by Gordon Dadds (28 April 2014).
The bolt-on means that HKFsi will now be home to 350 staff, including 85 partners.
