  • If the picture is to be believed, they acquired the firm for £28 cash.

Not bad, even in today's market.

  • This is the way post LASPO, and LSA 2007. There will be many more law firms acquired by new entrants such as Slater & Gordon, in a landscape which has forced firms to reconsider how they can retain and increase market share in an ever diminishing, and consolidating sector. Only organisations, with a proper classical business structure, pools of cash, IT infrastructure , and the correct balance of fee -earners will survive. The sector requires scale, and efficiency on a hitherto unseen level, given the reduction in fees, and the extensions in to the Portal. Within the next two years there will be no more than 5 or 6 key claimant PI firms, the rest will fall away, through acquisition by larger competitors, or go bust. Guaranteed.
