  • What is interesting about this article is that it fails to mention the recent round of departures (including that of Chris Smylie himself) in practices such as Private Client, Corporate and Capital Projects. It will be interesting to see what the next year holds for MMS assuming of course the Partners that are left don't end up at Brodies before then

  • Hopefully this will mark as a positive turning point for MMS. It's difficult to pinpoint how it has managed to get things so badly wrong over the last decade, but management has to be a major contributing factor. Still expect a merger of some kind, but it is unlikely to be with any major player.
