  • If there are 414 equity partners sharing a profit of £350.6m, then how does that equate to, on average, PEP of £1.3 million, or an equity spread of between £0.663m and £1.658m. Surely the average payout per equity partner is £0.846 million?(£350.6/414)

  • Average could be mean, median or mode. They usually that leave that detail out. Kind of important, but then they rely on the fact that maths is not the strong point of most lawyers.

  • Sure they went home with £2.3m, but I bet they didn't get the immense personal satisfaction of working in a leading law firm like Bond Dickinson.
