Amlin arms itself with new senior solicitor

Specialist insurer Amlin has appointed a new senior solicitor as a former member of the syndicate compliance team leaves for Lloyds Market Association (LMA).

Travis Bowles, who is dual-qualified in Australia and England, joins from Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, where he was a senior associate. In his new role Bowles will be part of Amlin’s small legal team, which is led by Robert Robinson and which works closely with underwriters, the claims teams and wording technicians.

In addition, he will work on selected aspects of commercial, corporate and regulatory law. Meanwhile, former member of the syndicate compliance team Kees van der Klugt is set to become head of legal and compliance at LMA, providing technical and professional support to Lloyd’s of London underwriters.
