Morrison & Foerster (MoFo) has hired a second corporate partner in Greater China within a month with the addition of a lawyer from Allen & Overy (A&O).
MoFo has appointed Jeremy Hunt as a partner in its Hong Kong office. Hunt joins from partnership at A&O in Hong Kong, with a practice focusing primarily on public takeovers and private equity transactions. The private equity clients he has worked with include The Carlyle Group, Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, Temasek and Capital international.
Hunt spent more than 14 years with A&O and relocated from London to Hong Kong in 2007.
Hunt’s appointment comes shortly after the firm’s hiring of Beijing corporate partner Thomas Man from Orrick. Last year, MoFo expanded its Hong Kong capital markets team with the appointments of partners John Moore and Melody Chen from Herbert Smith (2 November 2011).
