Alleged tampon coma action

A 27-year-old woman who was in a coma for two weeks after allegedly suffering from toxic shock syndrome after using tampons is mounting a High Court test case against Smith and Nephew Consumer Products. Sandra Turner, of Maldon, Essex, claims she has been left with, among other things, sight and hearing weakness and has also suffered lung, liver and kidney problems. She will accuse the tampon manufacturers of failing to provide adequate warnings on its products.
