Al Tamimi to expand footprint with Libya launch

Gulf-based firm Al Tamimi & Company is poised to launch an office in Libya.
A spokesperson said the firm is not yet ready to reveal specific details of the new venture, but it is expected that the office will go live in early 2012.
Firms have been gearing up to get involved in shaping Libya’s future economic and political landscape. Oil, gas and infrastructure work look set to become active in the near future.
The news is reminiscent of Al Tamimi’s move into war-torn Iraq in 2003. When the security situation deteriorated its local staff were forced to withdraw. The firm reopened its Baghdad office in 2009 (18 May 2009).
The Dubai-headquarted firm launched in Kuwait in 2009 (10 November 2009).

May I wish Essam and all his colleagues the very best of luck in Libya. Essam (a colleague from CC days) was always destined to be the leader in new ground. I wish him and his firm all the luck and prosperity in the world in his new venture.
