Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has promoted seven lawyers to its global partnership with one in London.

The London lawyer is corporate specialist Harry Keegan, whose clients include Lucite International, Max Petroleum and VimpelCom.

The six other promotions are: litigators Matthew Bate (Geneva) and Estela Díaz (New York); investment funds specialist Jeremy Berry (Washington, DC); real estate lawyer Joseph Friedman (Los Angeles); IP specialist Eric Klein (Dallas); and international trade lawyer Tamer Soliman (Abu Dhabi).

The promotions are effective from 1 January.
