Addleshaw Goddard has teamed up with US firm Dewey Ballantine to advise CompuGROUP on its bid for iSOFT. A team led by partners Matthew Doughty and Charles Penney are working with Dewey partners Philip Von Ilberg and Simon Briggs on the £160m deal. Doughty said: "We work with a number of US firms based in London but don't have full-service capabilities. Dewey advised CompuGROUP on its May IPO and gained this instruction from that." The bid comes after healthcare company IBA made a £138m bid for iSOFT earlier this year. Doughty said: "IBA has to decide whether it will be making another bid during the next month or so." Deutsche Bank will arrange the financing if the CompuGROUP bid is successful. Linklaters corporate partner Robert Cleaver acted for iSOFT.
