Addleshaw Goddard has ruffled more than a few firms' feathers after touting for work off the back of the Office of Fair Trading's investigation into the construction industry.
The firm sent out a blast email to construction companies involved in the possible bid-rigging, offering an "hour's free surgery, on a strictly confidential basis".
Loyal clients of other firms, however, sent the email on to their relationship partners.
One irate partner at a rival firm says Addleshaws' bid to "steal" clients was "absolutely disgraceful", adding: "Unsolicited approaches to our clients is underhand and breaks all the unspoken agreements for how to snare clients."
