Nineteen Addleshaw Goddard partners have resigned from the firm’s LLP since January 2009, with the corporate practice bearing the brunt of the losses.
According to the firm’s filings with Companies House, five corporate partners have left along with four in real estate, three in finance, one in employment and two each in tax, competition and IP. Nine of the group were based in the London office, six in Leeds and four in Manchester.
Only two of the group are still listed on the firm’s website, in the changed roles of legal director and consultant, while a further six have moved to roles at other firms.
A spokesperson said: “Several of these partners have left due to retirement, having worked with the firm for many years, some are joining other firms and others are remaining with us in a consultancy capacity even though they are no longer a partner.”
