Addleshaw Goddard has lost its second intellectual property (IP) partner in three months. Simon Clark is joining Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) with a group of three associates to create a new IP group for the firm.
His departure follows that of head of non-contentious IP Lesley Hall, who announced she was joining Farrer & Co in September.
Both Hall and Clark are legacy Theodore Goddard partners.
Clark will head a newly created 12 fee-earner IP group at BLP which will undertake contentious and non-contentious work.
Clark has a client list that includes the Dorma Group, Designers Guild, Jellycat, Robert Welch Designs and furniture companies within the Christie Tyler Group.
