ABTA sues ousted legal director for fraud

The legal director of the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) Riccardo Nardi has been fired following allegations that he defrauded the organisation of more than £1m. Nardi, who is accused of swindling ABTA out of £1.2m over a period of nine years, has been replaced by the organisation’s legal adviser Simon Bunce. ABTA, advised by Davenport Lyons, is suing Nardi to recover the cash, accusing him of fraud, misrepresentation, and/or breach of fiduciary duty, and/or a knowing breach of trust.
