A&O's US group kicks off M&A with SIIF Energies

A team led by partner Thomas Werlen advised SIIF Energies, a subsidiary of Electricité de France Group (EdF), on its acquisition of wind energy company EnXco Group.
A&O expanded its US group to include M&A last year when it hired M&A partner Dan Cunningham from Cravath Swaine & Moore and capital markets partner Werlen from Davis Polk & Wardwell.
"EdF said it would only give us the deal if we could manage it out of the London office. The fact that we won puts us in a good position for work on the forthcoming privatisation," Werlen said.
