Welcome to The Lawyer, reimagined for 2016.

We’ve redesigned our website to create a more modern reading experience. It’s fully responsive, so that you can access the same content whether you’re reading on mobile, desktop or tablet.

The Lawyer has always been the most comprehensive resource for the legal industry, helping lawyers further their careers and develop their businesses. We provide analysis, news, trends and data and create opportunities for our readers to come together through our events, whether conferences, awards, or round tables.

Our redesign brings more clarity to this extraordinarily rich content. Following a study of user journeys and through the detailed feedback we’ve been collecting from our readers over 2015, we’ve simplified the organisation of our content into key areas of interest.

The Lawyer has developed into one of the biggest data providers in the legal sector. We have a vast array of benchmarking investigations into law firms and in-house legal teams, such as the UK 200 series, the European 100, AsiaPac150, the China Elite and the FTSE 100 reports. They now sit together on an easily accessible data page that also includes the executive summaries of those pieces of research.

There’s a renewed emphasis on careers content. We’ll be running regular interviews with lawyers talking about their career stories, and of course will carry all the moves, promotion and pay news you will ever need. Add that to our Jobs section and Lawyer 2B, and together it’s unrivalled intelligence to help you make the right decisions.

The Lawyer is number one for in-house content and readership. In 2015, by popular demand, we increased our weekly interviews of heads of legal from one to two. You can find all the in-house news and analysis, including appointments and adviser reviews, in one easy-to-navigate section.

Under the ‘Briefings’ tab you can find a wealth of briefings from firms on legal developments around the globe, updated daily.

Under the LMI tab you can find a link to The Lawyer Market Intelligence, our digital tool that monitors and measures the relationships between corporates and their legal advisers.

There’s still plenty that will be familiar to our readers. We’ll still be breaking the biggest news stories and running the most provocative thought-leadership pieces on the profession. Over the course of 2016 The Lawyer will be adding more features, including prominent use of video and more resources for busy professionals.

We hope you enjoy the new version of The Lawyer. We’re keen to hear what works for you, and what we could improve. Email me on catrin.griffiths@centaurmedia.com.
