Judgment is now pending in the Court of Appeal in the case of Ellis v Chief Adjudication Officer, in which Lords Justices Staughton, Otton and Schiemann have been asked to decide whether the Social Security Chief Adjudication Officer was wrong to hold that the appellant was not entitled to income support. The officer found that property had been transferred to another member of the appellant's family in order to secure entitlement to income support for the appellant. This finding is now being appealed against.
