A lawyer and a gentleman

Hurrah! Some Christmas cheer. Travers Smith‘s gentlemanly managing partner Chris Carroll has been re-elected.

Despite senior partner Alasdair Douglas’s worries that Carroll might be “exhausted”, Carroll is set to soldier on with his thankless task of managing a law firm with average profit per equity partner of £705,000 and a top of equity that hits a cool £1m.

To celebrate, Carroll is taking a month’s holiday, conveniently starting the day after Travers’ Christmas party. We bet that’s made a few of you jealous.

Strangely, his ‘holiday’ destinations include the US and India. Watch this space.
