4 Pump Court appoints new chiefs

Commercial set 4 Pump Court has appointed Jeremy Storey QC and Nigel Tozzi QC as joint heads of chambers

Storey and Tozzi replace David Friedman QC and Christopher Moger QC, who step down after six years at the helm.

Carolyn McCombe, chief executive of 4 Pump Court, said Storey and Tozzi’s appointment will take the set on to a new stage of development, which will see the chambers continue to grow.

McCombe added: “Having masterminded 4 Pump Court’s success over the last six years, David and Christopher have decided the time is right to step down.”

The new duo had unanimous support from the set’s membership so no official election took place.

Friedman will now head the set’s construction team, while Moger will become the chief of the commercial practice group.

The news follows the announcement of three new QCs at 4 Pump Court yesterday - Alex Charlton, Duncan McCall and Aidan Christie (www.thelawyer.com, 22 January).
