4 Field Court loses five to 4 Essex Court

4 Essex Court has a mid-sized commercial, shipping and European law practice and is recruiting after its acquisition of a new building at 7-15 Fleet Street, due to open next year.
Other members joining include Nigel Meeson, who has a wide commercial litigation and arbitration practice, and shipping specialists David Goldstone, Michael Davey and Guy Blackwood.
In March, 4 Field Court's most experienced practitioner Andrew Rankin QC left full-time practice and is now a door tenant at the chambers. The set's head Steven Gee QC joined in September 1999 from One Essex Court.
Chambers director at 4 Essex Court Gordon Armstrong said: "We're delighted to have such a strong team joining us. Their practices complement and expand the existing profile of our work."
The set was also recently joined by former aviation solicitor Mr Justice Harvey Crush.
