3 Serjeants' Inn appoints new joint head

Medical, police and employment law specialist set 3 Serjeants’ Inn has elected John Beggs QC as its new joint head of chambers, replacing Robert Francis QC.
Francis will continue to practise from 3 Serjeants’ Inn. Beggs will fulfil the role alongside incumbent James Watson QC.
Beggs was called to the bar in 1989, taking silk this year. He is an employment silk with experience acting for both claimants and respondents and has a specialism defending police forces in race, sex and religious discrimination claims.
