2007 Proves good year for CMS Albiñana

The Spanish ally of CMS Cameron McKenna, CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, has posted a 16 per cent revenue increase, with e17m (£13.42m) earned last year.

The firm grew by e2.5m (£1.97m) in 2007 to hit e17.6m (£13.89m) from 2006's total of e15.1m (£11.92m).

The increase in revenue has been fuelled by a lively Iberian M&A market for much of 2007. Last year also saw Albiñana hire senior government lawyer Felix Plasencia from the Spanish National Securities Market Commission as partner.

Albiñana signed up to the CMS network at the start of 2005 and has 20 partners spread across offices in Madrid, Sevilla and Marbella.
