20 Essex Street silk to sit on Scottish bench

20 Essex Street's Angus Glennie QC has been appointed to the Scottish bench. Glennie will sit in the Outer House of the Court of Session in Edinburgh on civil business and in the High Court for criminal cases. He will be joined by four other new judges - Leeona Dorrian QC, Patrick Hodge QC, Iain Macphail QC and Alexander Wylie QC - who are all members of the Faculty of Advocates . The appointments were recommended by the Scottish Judicial Appointments Board before being referred to Scottish First Minister Jack McConnell and confirmed by the Queen. Joanne Harris
