2-3 Gray's Inn Square has elected planning specialist Mark Lowe QC as its new head of chambers as the set moves to modernise and grow.
Lowe takes over from Anthony Porten QC, who has held the role for the past five years.
He said his aims as head of chambers were to streamline the way the civil set was managed and run, as well as to attract more members in its expanding practice areas. 2-3 Gray's Inn has developed new expertise in housing and licensing during the past five years, and Lowe said that he was confident that this would continue.
"What we're hoping is that we should get some new silks in a few weeks' time to give us the strength we need," Lowe added. The results of the new QC appointments process are expected shortly.
