Herbert Smith has promoted 18 lawyers to its partnership, a third of whom are based abroad.
The group comes from the firm’s contentious and transactional practices, and six are women.
Senior partner David Gold (pictured) commented: “I congratulate our new partners. Together with the strong sector expertise and international experience that will support our strategic progress, they bring to the partnership that distinctive spread of contentious and transactional capability for which we are well known.
“We’ve enjoyed a good start to 2010, as demonstrated by our top ranking in the first-quarter M&A league tables and the string of high-calibre partners we’ve recruited over the last few months. This latest intake of talent into the partnership will help maintain our momentum and provides further grounds for our confidence in the future.”
This follows news that Eversheds has made up 19 (19 April 2010), while Lovells has promoted 21 (15 April 2010).
