Taylor Wessing has added to its property group with the hire of Orrick Rambaud Martel partner Alfred Fink, who will lead the firm’s French real estate team.
Fink joins Taylor Wessing along with associate Peter Schäfer and a paralegal. He will take charge of the firm’s property practice in Paris and significantly adds to Taylor Wessing’s capabilities in this area in France.
He said he was attracted by Taylor Wessing’s international network, while Taylor Wessing Paris managing partner Gilles Amsallem added that Fink’s hire came as the firm advised on an increasing number of international transactions.
Fink is the second partner to leave Orrick’s Paris office in recent months. In June (6 June 2012) McDermott Will & Emery turned to Orrick to hire a team including partner Bertrand Delafaye and of counsel Antoine Vergnat and Antony Martinez.
Taylor Wessing also appointed Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe London partner Elisabeth Gaunt in January (9 January 2012).
The firm now has 22 partners in France and over 50 lawyers in total.
