  • If they had any vision or ambition they would have bitten the Chinese firm's hand off when it made that offer.

  • @ Anon 1.49pm - Silly boy, does it not depend on what the offer is? Glad your not my agent in relation to anything. With that kind of comment i wouldnt trust you to go to the supermarket!

  • @Coolio - It's not an agent you need, old son. It's an english teacher.

  • Aside from the specificities of the offer it would make more sense, culturally and strategically, for Dewey's team to join another US based law firm with strong reach in the Russian market- such as White & Case.

  • Echo Coolio.
Interesting to see the firms that are profiting from Dewey's collapse.

  • Nonsense! The Moscow office should just stay put, because Davis and the Gang Of Four have a plan in place and it is working fantastically. The New York office is diversifying into Commercial Real Estate, and expenses are plummeting with all of the forced departures of the underperforming partners. All that is left is pretty much the creme of the crop, unless others leave then they weren't creme. You'd be a fool to underestimate what Marty Bienenstock could do on that inner circle.

  • Difficult to know if it's a serious comment or sarcasm, but hopefully 11.50pm will have the decency to reveal themselves or at least admit they were wrong when Dewey does fold in the next few weeks. The comment about the remainder being "Creme" unless they leave is a fairly good sign of head in sand / Titanic management (ie we've hit a an iceberg and are listing, but anyone who jumps in a life boat is no longer a passenger of this ship....).
