Corporate partner Neil Foster is leaving Field Fisher Waterhouse (FFW) to joins Baker Botts, becoming the latest in a string of partners to leave the UK firm this year.
Foster, who advises on M&A, private equity and venture capital, especially in TMT, life sciences and healthcare, is set to join the US firm’s City team.
The departure follows the exits from FFW earlier this year of Lewis Cohen to Mishcon de Reya (12 September 2011), France Delord to Taylor Wessing (7 September 2011), Fiona McClellan to Hempsons and Karen Cooksley and Colette McCormack to Winckworth Sherwood (4 May 2011).
Meanwhile, former FFW public sector head David Gollancz, a public law partner, moved to Keating Chambers last month after leaving the firm to train as a barrister last year.
FFW corporate head Andrew Blankfield said: “I can confirm that Neil Foster will be leaving Field Fisher Waterhouse to join Baker Botts, although an exact leaving date is still to be confirmed.
“We wish Neil all the best for the future and thank him for his contribution to the firm’s corporate practice over the last few years.”
