Latham & Watkins has appointed Baker Botts corporate partner Ryan Maierson to its recently opened energy industry practice in Houston.
Maierson has been a partner at Baker Botts since 2007. His practice includes advising on M&A, representing sponsors and portfolio companies in private equity investments, representing issuers and underwriters in securities offerings and advising on corporate governance matters.
Latham’s Houston office launched a year ago with eight founding members. Maierson’s appointment brings the partner headcount to 11, with a total of 36 lawyers.
