Olswang turns to Pinsents for restructuring partner hire

Olswang has taken on the co-head of Pinsent Masons’ London restructuring practice as a partner.
Seamas Gray advised on several high-profile restructurings during his time at Pinsents, including the emergency restructuring of JJB Sports. Other clients have included MFI and Ernstone. He joined Pinsents from DLA Piper in 2006.
Olswang head of restructuring and insolvency Alicia Videon said: “Seamas brings with him a wealth of experience in complex restructuring and formal insolvency that, together with his recognised commercial approach, is a perfect fit in our existing team.
“This is an exciting hire for Olswang and brings even greater depth to our already well established restructuring and insolvency practice. We’re particularly delighted he’s joining us at a time when we’re seeing increasing volumes of work in bank-led restructuring.”
Earlier this month the firm announced the capture of David Weare from Davies Arnold Cooper to head the construction practice and the hire of real estate head Gary Watson from Mayer Brown (3 May 2010).
